The Philadelphia 2016 Host Committee for the Democratic National Convention is a nonprofit organization responsible for raising money and offering the city’s fantastic amenities to create a multifaceted, weeklong presentation of events in one of America’s most iconic cities. Greenfish created a VR film “Philadelphia in 360°” to promote the city’s Arts, Entertainment, Culture, and Neighborhood experiences for the influx of 50,000 people visiting the city for the 2016 Democratic National Convention.
We filmed at historic and noteworthy landmarks in Philly including Love Park, Independence Hall, The Philadelphia Museum of Art, and Reading Terminal Market. Additionally, we gave viewers a privileged point of view with clips from the top of City Hall, the Harbor, high above Broad Street and inside Citizen Bank Park–home of the Philadelphia Phillies. We used VR to enable users to be transported to unique perspectives that would normally be inaccessible to them.
